"Okay, so here’s a little gem in San Antonio that’s a real hidden gem! They serve authentic Mexican food made by a poblano chef. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service makes you feel right at home. They have a fairly large menu, but I just had to try the Chalupas, being a Polano myself. I never thought I’d find real Chalupas in San Antonio, and to my surprise, they taste just like in Puebla. If you’re looking for real Mexican food, you absolutely have to check this place out. I also tried the empanadas de queso (I just call them “quesadillas fritas”), and they took me back to Tres Marias. I’m definitely coming back with my family, and I think I’ve found a place that could become a favorite really quickly."

"What an amazing hidden gem for REAL Mexican food! We stumbled upon this place by accident .. and now we have to come back every week! I cannot express how amazing the service, food and ambiance was.Chef Oscar and Jorge came out and talked to us and made sure we were taken care of and made sure we loved everything. All the flavors of every single thing.. from the traditional Mexican coffee, our main plates and the bread desert was fantastic. I highly recommend stopping by. Help a local business who deserves it and fill your bellies with amazing (and wonderfully priced!) food"

"Absolutely the most authentic Mexican food experience you can find in SA This restaurant is a true hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is something special. The owners are originally from Puebla, Mexico, and they bring the real flavors, traditions, and love for food straight to your table. This is one of the very few places where you honestly feel like you’re eating in Mexico. The food is outstanding beyond words. Every dish tastes homemade, rich in flavor, and perfectly seasoned. The salsas are incredible, the tortillas taste fresh, and each bite reminds you of real Mexican street and home-style cooking. You can truly taste the authenticity The restaurant is spotlessly clean, which immediately makes you feel comfortable, and the customer service is just as impressive as the food. The staff is warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely cares that you have an amazing experience. You’re treated like family from start to finish. If you’re craving real Mexican food (the kind that makes you close your eyes on the first bite) this is the place. This restaurant sets the bar very high and is easily one of the best Mexican food spots in the entire area. I will absolutely be coming back again and again. Highly, highly recommended!"

"Delicious, freshly made. Their cafe de olla was amazing, super hot and fresh. The salsa ranchera it’s the best I’ve had in San Antonio. I can’t wait to go back and try lunch items. I’m sad it’s hard to see the place from the road. Total hidden gem!"

"I’ve been here twice, and both times the food was excellent. On my last visit, I ordered the Tampiqueña (grilled steak) medium rare—it was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The café de olla was also delicious and a great way to finish the meal."

"If you’ve ever wondered what authentic Mexican food made with love truly tastes like — this is it. This isn’t your average Tex-Mex spot with watered-down flavors and pre-packaged sauces. Nah. This place is the real deal — the MJ in his prime, back-to-back-to-back championship level of flavor. From the very first bite, you can tell everything here is homemade. The tortilla soup alone deserves its own Hall of Fame plaque — rich, layered, and soulful. The chilaquiles? Absolute perfection. Crispy, saucy, and balanced like a symphony. The empanadas melt in your mouth, and that steak — seasoned and seared like they summoned a whole lineup of abuelas to bless it first. Even the chips and guac taste like they were made in the kitchen of someone who actually cares. But here’s where it hits different — the chef himself came out to check on us. You could feel it — the pride, the craftsmanship, the heart behind every plate. It’s rare to see someone pour this much passion into food anymore, and that’s what makes this place special. You’re not just eating; you’re tasting devotion. Yeah, the service was good — not over-the-top, not fancy, just chill and respectful. But honestly? The food carries the entire experience like Jordan carried the Bulls in ’96. Final Verdict: 100/10. One of the most authentic, heart-filled Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, Texas — which says a lot, because this city is the capital of flavor. If you love Mexican food — real Mexican food — stop whatever you’re doing and come here. Bring your friends, your mom, your ex, your next — everyone needs to taste this kind of excellence at least once in their life. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Ten stars because five ain’t enough.)"

"As soon as I walked in I could tell this was a nice comfortable restaurant. It was clean, well lit, and had a nice decor. Ordered Arrachera con enchiladas verdes. Staff were very helpful in my food selection. Plate came out in short time and everything was cooked perfectly including my steak. I ordered arroz con leche for dessert. This was also a wonderful treat to end the meal. I very much enjoyed dining here and will definitely be back to try other dishes."
